It's always good to know you're not staying far from tasty food and refreshing drinks! Here are a few suggestion based on the proximity.
Contemporary European cuisine ...in a relaxed setting. Multi-award winning Head Chef, Simon Hibberd and his experienced team are committed to providing the very highest standard of service. Innovative cuisine is at the heart of all of his menus. If you are after fine dining in Lincoln, look no further than the Reform Restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Thailand No.1 started their business in 2003. At Thailand No.1, they offer Thai Authentic Cuisine to the locals of Lincoln and visitors. They are proud to deliver exceptional service, along with tasty dishes to all. If you are new to Thai, we are certain you can find something to suit your palette.
The dishes at Thailand No.1 are beautifully presented, which fits with the emaculate interior of the restaurant. Their fully licensed bar offers a wide selection of beers, wines and soft drinks.
Bailgate Deli, in Lincoln's historic Cathedral Quarter, is a vegan and vegetarian café and deli. Our food is almost entirely made in-house. The menu includes standard items such as a full vegan breakfast and a mezzanine plate added to by daily specials (we're passionate about cooking and love making new dishes).
Through the day we serve great coffee, proper hot chocolate and lots of other drinks. Cakes and savouries are made daily. We know how to make a good gluten free pastry for a steady flow of tarts with vegan fillings. Our deli shelves have many of the staples needed in good plant based cooking. Our chiller cabinet always has a range of great salads. Most days of the week you can find Welbeck's properly made bread.
The café is small but doubles in size during the summer as we spill out on to the pavement!
Looking for landmarks, attractions and places to go nearby - here's a few ideas to warm you up.
An absolute must for the children and the Christmas loving adults too! The big switch on is always exciting and it splits into three:
Christmas Lights at Lincoln St Marks Shopping Centre
Music, Entertainment and fun from 4:45pm with the big switch on at (drum roll.....) 6:30pm. Hosting is LincsFMs very own John Marshall and for the Swtich On you'll see on stage the cast of Lincoln's Christmas Panto from The Drill Hall, who this year are performing Cinderella (Ohhh yes they are...).
Christmas Lights on Lincoln High St
Also starting at 4:45pm with a procession including the mayor at 6:40pm and the big switch on at 7:10pm, so for the very keen, you can see both if you hurry! The high street entertainment is hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire and the switch on itself is hosted by none other than the lovely Melinda Messenger, who is starring in this years New Theatre Royal panto of Robin Hood.
Christmas Lights in Lincoln's Waterside Shopping Centre
Dancing, Singing and performances/entertainment will also be held in Lincoln's Waterside Shopping centre from 6pm. There will be an opportunity to meet Melinda Messenger (autographs and photos) too!
